Who

An alternative investment platform built for curious investors across Europe.

SplintInvest gives users access to alternative assets such as wine, trading cards, handbags, sneakers and private equity.

That product creates a wonderfully broad search landscape. One person arrives with a clear interest in wine investing. Another is still working out whether a trading card belongs in an investment portfolio.

We were asked to grow visibility across Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy and English-speaking European markets, then help that new audience understand the platform and move towards the app.

A distinctive platform with real people and expertise behind it.
What

A strong product with a small and fragmented search footprint.

SplintInvest ranked for around 130 keywords at the start. The multilingual setup, content structure, technical health and registration journey all had useful opportunities waiting for us.

  • 01A starting footprint of around 130 keywords left major investment categories and educational searches open.
  • 02Multilingual canonical issues blurred the relationship between language versions.
  • 03Non-essential subdomains gave search engines extra low-value URLs to crawl.
  • 04Orphaned and redundant pages weakened the overall site structure.
  • 05Mobile performance issues made large files and rendering delays worth fixing.
  • 06Inconsistent internal linking left useful articles disconnected from categories and sign-up routes.
  • 07Limited authorship and company detail reduced the context around financial content.
  • 08Navigation and browser issues created avoidable friction on the journey towards registration.
Mobile performance became one of the technical priorities and later passed its Core Web Vitals assessment.

Details

The campaign, milestone by milestone.

Here is how we moved from 130 ranking keywords to a much broader European search presence. Open any section for the technical and commercial detail.

Alternative investing covers a surprisingly wide set of interests. A wine investor uses different language from someone researching sneakers, handbags, trading cards or private equity.

Our research covered:

  • Branded and non-branded investment searches
  • Wine, trading cards, handbags and sneakers
  • Private equity and emerging investment categories
  • English and German keyword plans
  • Commercial, educational and sign-up intent

The research gave us a steady publishing roadmap and a clear purpose for each article, category page and market-specific opportunity.

Topics, keywords, search demand and article scope mapped into a usable plan.

International websites give search engines plenty of decisions to make, so we gave Google clearer instructions across the multilingual structure.

Canonical tags

We reviewed and corrected canonical implementation across the language sections. Each market version gained a clearer relationship with the wider site and a better opportunity to be indexed appropriately.

Index control

We added noindex directives to non-essential subdomains and API-related areas with little organic-search value. Google could spend more of its crawl attention on pages built for users.

Orphaned and redundant pages

We reviewed isolated and duplicate-value URLs, then tightened the structure around pages that supported the platform, investment categories and content strategy.

Navigation hierarchy

We reorganised the homepage navigation into a clearer dropdown system. Important investment categories became easier to reach, and the internal hierarchy made much more sense to crawlers.

One platform, several languages and a clearer set of indexing signals.

Mobile performance needed attention around large files and rendering delays. We reviewed the heavier assets, worked through the loading issues and helped important category pages become usable sooner.

We also tested the website across browsers. A few menu elements refused to click and some navigation links took their time responding. Those small frustrations can end a promising visit surprisingly quickly, so we worked with the SplintInvest team to make the journey more reliable.

The improved mobile experience went on to pass its Core Web Vitals assessment. Faster pages and dependable controls gave both search visitors and search engines a cleaner experience.

Passing Core Web Vitals gave us a satisfying green tick after the performance work.

Our human copywriters researched, wrote and published eight articles each month. We covered established categories such as wine, cards, handbags and sneakers, then expanded into private equity and other emerging areas as the data revealed fresh opportunities.

Each article had a specific role in the wider journey. Structured headings made longer financial topics easier to scan, and natural internal links connected readers with related guides, investment categories and app sign-up routes.

That routine steadily created more useful entry points into the website. It also turned the content library into a connected resource where an investor could keep exploring without needing a treasure map.

The growing content library expanded the platform's organic keyword footprint.

Financial content asks readers to place real trust in the information and the people behind it. We expanded the About section with more detail about SplintInvest's mission, team and partnerships.

We introduced expert profiles for key people in the business and added professional context around their experience. Author boxes also connected articles with identifiable contributors, including Aurelio Perucca and Mario Von Bergen.

These additions helped users understand who had shaped the information they were reading. They also gave search engines clearer experience, expertise, authority and trust signals around a financial platform.

Real company detail and named experts gave the financial content stronger context.

We treated every ranking as an invitation. Page titles and meta descriptions were reviewed, tested and adjusted using click-through-rate data, helping SplintInvest make a stronger first impression inside the search results.

Once people arrived, clearer calls to action linked articles and category pages with the app. We also improved category information and comparisons so users had useful answers before deciding whether an investment suited them.

We proposed a dedicated login and registration experience to complete the route from research to account creation. The journey became simple: discover a topic, understand the opportunity, explore the category and open the app.

Visibility across several types of intent gave users more routes into the platform.

Our monthly reports covered ranking movement, branded searches, technical health, Lighthouse performance and new opportunities. Keyword difficulty helped us balance ambitious topics with realistic gains that could arrive sooner.

We reviewed Timeless Investments and Vinovest to find search themes and content gaps already attracting interest. Their visibility gave us useful clues, and we turned those clues into ideas suited to SplintInvest's own platform and audience.

A supporting backlink strategy shortlisted relevant opportunities from reputable websites. Regular reporting kept the campaign flexible and gave every new recommendation a clear reason to exist.

Monthly reporting kept technical work, content and realistic opportunities moving together.

Why it worked

Each improvement made the wider system more useful.

We treated the campaign as one connected system. International research shaped the topics, technical work clarified the multilingual structure, and regular publishing gave investors useful ways to discover the platform.

Internal links carried that interest into category pages and the app journey. Named experts and richer company information added the context people expect when money enters the conversation.

The pieces worked together, and regular reporting helped us keep improving the whole journey as the footprint grew.

  • International researchmapped the topics, markets and intent worth pursuing.
  • Multilingual technical SEOgave crawlers clearer signals across language versions.
  • Expert contentcreated useful entry points for curious investors.
  • Internal linkingconnected research with categories and the app.
  • Trust signalsput real people and professional context behind the information.
  • Conversion UXgave visitors a clear route towards account creation.
Client feedback

Professional, organised and open to a useful discussion.

Djuro left us a five-star Google review after almost a year of working together and highlighted our knowledge, organisation and openness to discussion.

We especially like that final point. International SEO brings plenty of technical decisions, new ideas and occasional changes of direction. A good discussion keeps the strategy practical and the collaboration enjoyable.
