From Poland to France: A Shopify Store Built for a New Market.

Topeshop, a Polish furniture manufacturer, was ready to sell in France. We recreated their proven Polish store on a new French domain, translated every page, built the French catalog, and made pricing and returns meet French and EU rules, all in ten weeks.

Who

A Polish furniture maker, ready for France.

Topeshop has been making furniture in Poland since 2014, with a simple promise: high quality at affordable prices. In Poland, they already sell through their own online store.

We have worked with them since February 2025, running Google Ads, Meta Ads and SEO for the Polish store. So when Topeshop decided to enter the French market, they asked us to build the French store.

The brief: the same design and features that already work in Poland, entirely in French, with a selection of products available in France at first and room to add more over time. We will support the new store with PPC first, then SEO once it is profitable.

The hero section of the Polish store, the design we carried over to France.
What

A proven store, a new country, and new rules.

The Polish store already worked. The challenge was to recreate it for France without starting from scratch, and without missing anything French shoppers, or French law, expect.

  • 01Same design, new domain. A separate store on its own French domain had to look and work like the Polish one.
  • 02A different catalog. Only part of the range would be sold in France at first, and the store had to grow with it.
  • 03Every word in French. Products, collections, pages, cart and checkout all needed natural French.
  • 04French consumer law. Prices shown TTC, éco-participation on furniture, and a clear returns policy.
  • 05EU pricing rules. Every discount must show the lowest price from the previous 30 days.
  • 06Gaps in product data. Some products had short descriptions and no dimensions, which furniture shoppers need.
How

Our plan: one proven design, rebuilt for France.

We did not redesign what was already working. We recreated the Polish store on its own French domain, then put our effort into everything that had to change for France: the language, the catalog, the product pages, and pricing that meets French and EU rules.

01

Same design, new domain

The custom Noom theme from the Polish store, with all of Topeshop's own features.

02

The French catalog

The client's French product list, structured into the right collections.

03

French, checked by French speakers

Translated with the most capable AI models, verified by the client's French team.

04

Product pages for furniture buyers

Assembly manuals, dimensions, full descriptions and delivery times.

05

French and EU compliance

TTC pricing, éco-participation, the 30-day lowest price and returns.

06

Payments and handover

Checkout ready for French shoppers, and a team ready to run the store.

Details

The work, milestone by milestone.

Below is the detail behind each stage of the project. Open any section to see what we did and why it mattered.

Topeshop's Polish store runs on a custom-adapted version of the Noom theme, with features built specifically for them. We brought that theme and all of its features to the new French domain, so French shoppers get the same experience Polish shoppers already trust.

That included:

  • •The same main navigation as the Polish store
  • •Interactive room scenes: shoppers tap a piece of furniture to see its price and open its product page
  • •Two new homepage banners in French, for bathroom furniture and modular hallway storage
  • •Homepage product picks, agreed with the client

Topeshop gave us the list of products available in France. We made sure each one was properly structured and assigned to the correct collections, using the same category structure as the Polish store, so new products can slot in as the French range grows.

Along the way we removed more than 20 empty categories left over from old imports, so shoppers never land on a page with nothing in it. We also added new images to the main categories and subcategories, consistent with the Polish store.

To keep the store easy to run, we wrote instructions for the client's team on adding related products themselves.

We translated the store with the most capable AI models available, then had the client's French team verify the language. That combination gave us speed and native-level accuracy.

It covered every product and collection, the menus, the contact and information pages, and the cart and checkout. The review caught the small things a translation tool would miss, such as using "Valider mon panier" on the cart button, the wording French shoppers expect.

Furniture is a considered purchase, and shoppers want answers before they buy. We made sure every product page gives them:

  • •A description split into two parts, like on the Polish store: a short summary near the top and the full description below
  • •Dimensions in their own field, and full descriptions for 127 products that had only a short one
  • •Assembly manuals for 260 products, added through a new product field so the team can upload more at any time
  • •A delivery estimate set per product, such as "Livraison entre 3 et 5 jours", with a 7 to 14 day default when none is set
  • •Free delivery across metropolitan France, shown right on the page

Selling to French consumers comes with specific requirements, and getting them wrong costs trust as well as risking penalties. We built them into the store from the start.

Prices shown TTC

French consumers must see prices including all taxes. A simple "TTC" next to each price does the job without cluttering the page.

Éco-participation

Furniture sold in France includes an éco-participation, a contribution toward recycling furniture at the end of its life, and it must be shown to shoppers. We added each product's amount from the client's data, and it appears with the price on product and category pages, for example "Dont €2,23 d'éco-participation".

The 30-day lowest price

Under EU and French rules, a discounted product must show the lowest price it was sold at in the previous 30 days. We set this to appear only on products that are actually on promotion, so regular prices stay clean.

Returns and discounts

The law gives online shoppers 14 days to change their mind. Topeshop offers 30, and the returns policy is now linked from the footer next to the delivery, payment and legal pages. We also removed automatic cart discounts that were not being advertised anywhere on the site.

Some category images were created with AI. To be transparent with shoppers and in line with the EU AI Act, we installed an app that labels AI-generated images on the store.

We set up checkout and payments for French shoppers, including card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna. The client only had to add their company details for billing and payments.

With the store live, we handed it over to the client's team. We also trained their French staff in the basics of Google Ads, ready for the next step: bringing shoppers to the new store.

Delivered

A French store, ready to sell from day one.

This case study covers the build, so the scorecard is what went live in October 2026, ten weeks after kickoff.

  • 01A French Shopify store on its own domain, built on the custom Noom theme from the Polish store.
  • 02The French product selection, structured into the same categories as Poland.
  • 03Every page, product and checkout step in French, verified by the client's French team.
  • 04Assembly manuals on 260 products.
  • 05127 product pages expanded with dimensions and full descriptions.
  • 06Delivery times set per product, with free delivery across metropolitan France.
  • 07TTC pricing, éco-participation and the 30-day lowest price on promotions.
  • 08A 30-day returns policy, AI image labels, and payments ready for French shoppers.
Why it worked

Reuse what works, adapt what must change.

Building a new market store from scratch would have meant redesigning, retesting and re-explaining a store that already worked in Poland.

Instead, we kept the design and features shoppers already trust and spent our time where France is different: the language, the catalog, the product information and the law.

Because we already run the Polish store's ads and SEO, we knew which pages and features mattered before we started.

  • Proven designgave France the store that already works in Poland.
  • Structured catalogput each French product in the right collection, with room to grow.
  • AI plus native reviewdelivered natural French, fast.
  • Product dataanswered furniture buyers' questions before they ask.
  • Compliancemet French and EU pricing, recycling and returns rules.
  • Handover and trainingleft the client's team ready to run and grow the store.
Client feedback

A partner on both sides of the border.

Topeshop's team left us a five-star review for our cooperation, which included training their French staff in the basics of Google Ads. The client was also happy with the design and the handover of the new store.

We aim to be easy to work with on every project. That means regular communication, full transparency on what is being done and why, and a team you can reach.
